  • What is Dialog?
At Dialog, we believe that meaningful connections are built on the foundation of sharing minds and exploring what each other thinks. Our app is designed for users to express themselves through a personal journal, which can be shared with others—whether it’s a like-minded stranger, a friend using the app, or a significant other sharing the experience with you. Dialog fosters deeper connections by allowing people to explore and understand each other’s thoughts in a more personal and meaningful way.
  • Is Dialog free to use?
Of course! Although we have subscription plans geared for specific users, users can always use the core capabilities for free
  • What is the "Who Likes You" Feature?
The "Who Likes You" feature is where you can see the people who have liked your profile after viewing your journal. You’ll receive a notification whenever someone likes your profile, and you can choose to match and connect with them if you’re interested after checking out their profile and journal. See link for more: Where can I see the likes I have received from people?
  • What is the “Like” button?
The “Like” button lets you show the other person that you are interested in them. You have up to 5 chances to use this feature each day for free. When you press the button, it changes from “Like” to “Liked” to indicate your interest. The status will change back to its initial state every 24 hours so you can show your ongoing interest. Rest assured, your original "like" is still noted and the other person has received it. Remember, meaningful connections take time, so keep engaging and be patient. See link for more: Where can I find the "Like" button?
  • How do I match with someone in Dialog?
Matching with someone on Dialog is designed to help you form meaningful connections. Here’s how it works: Mutual Likes: A match occurs when both you and another user press the "Like" button on each other's profiles. Alternatively, if someone likes your profile first, you can match with them by pressing the "Match" button after viewing their profile via the "Who likes you" screen. A Focused Connection: To ensure a focused and meaningful connection, you can only match with one user at any time. This approach helps you fully engage and build a deeper relationship with the person you’ve matched with. Switch to Chat: When matched with someone, the "Who likes you" view, where you see likes from other users, will automatically switch to a "Chat" view. In this view, you can start messaging with the person you’ve matched with. Shared Journal: After matching, you and the other person will have a shared journal that combines your individual entries. This shared space is meant for you to explore experiences, reflections, and personal moments both individually and together, deepening your connection.
  • What happens to my other likes once I match with someone on Dialog?
At Dialog, we prioritize meaningful connections over a numbers game. Once you match with someone, any likes you’ve received from other users will no longer be available. This approach is designed to encourage thoughtful and meaningful interactions with the person you’ve matched with.
  • What are the "Following" and "Subscribe" features?
Sometimes, building a connection takes time. The "Following" view and "Subscribe" feature are designed to help you stay connected with people you find interesting but might not resonate with right away. It’s like a bookmark for cool people! By subscribing to someone, you can easily keep up with their updates and get to know them better over time. The "Following" view then allows you to track and manage these connections, ensuring that you don’t miss out on potential meaningful interactions in the future. See links for more: How do I subscribe to someone’s journal? Where can I see the people that I am subscribed to?
  • What is the "Connect" feature?
Creating meaningful connections is at the heart of what Dialog is all about. The "Connect" feature is designed for two people who already know each other to dive into the experience together right from the start. See link for more: How do I use the “Connect” feature
